Kettle Cottage

A delightfully secluded and tastefully appointed two bedroom cottage close to the heart of Chipping Campden.

Kettle Cottage is in the centre of Chipping Campden but tucked away so you would never know it was there. It can be found in the garden of The Kettle House, from which it takes its name. The huge kettle hanging on the front of Kettle House, suspended on high, is a landmark and dates from the time when James "Tinker" Haines was the householder. He repaired kettles and pans and the huge kettle was a sign of his trade.
Kettle Cottage has been refurbished to provide a very comfortable holiday home with full gas central heating. CHILDREN OVER 5 AND NON CRAWLING BABIES WELCOME

Kettle Cottage is reached via a cobbled side passage, containing an old well and a pump in working order, which leads to the garden and the cottage.
It is believed that the cottage was built in the Victorian era. Kettle House has also been a public house where beer was brewed on the premises at the back in a barn. At the front of Kettle House is the curved green of Leysbourne, said to date from the times when there was a blacksmith working at the property. Horses would be shod, then with their carts led round to turn back onto the street into Campden, so forming the curve.
There is public parking on the curve and in the street with no restrictions.

Comfortable two seater sofa and two armchairs. The unusual Victorian Stove style electric fire is great focal point for the room.
Television with Freeview. DVD player

To one side of the room is the DINING AREA with circular table and chairs to seat 4

The owners live in Kettle House and they are happy for you to use their washing machine and tumble dryer by arrangement.

Stairs lead from the kitchen to the wide landing upstairs.
BEDROOM ONE is full of light and sun. There are windows on two sides and also a door which leads out onto a secluded decking area, overlooking the garden. Exposed wood flooring with rug (not shown). Five foot wide double bed Attractive wicker baskets form the bedside tables. Chest of drawers and lloyd loom chair. There is a bentwood coat stand and hooks on the back of the door for hanging clothes. Hairdryer.

Along the landing, through a door and down two steps is

The owner of Kettle Cottage enjoys chatting to guests and is pleased for you to share her garden.
The decking area, surrounded by Wisteria and Clematis, is just for your use. Sit at the circular, bistro style table and enjoy your breakfast in the morning. Or after a long day sight seeing coming home to a glass of wine and sit and relax, enjoying the view. Overlooking the garden is the lovely honey coloured church tower of St James' church, which is featured with four stars in 'England's Thousand Best Churches' by Simon Jenkins.

Easter stay at Kettle Cottage, Chipping Campden
A delightful cottage in a wonderful location. We would certainly like to come back here in future and would recommend it. Great having the 2 bathrooms as we shared cottage with friends for the first half of the week. Handy for eating and drinking in Chipping Campden itself, handy for walking straight from door (lots of walks and long distance paths) and also lots of interesting places to visit only a short drive away. No parking for property itself but unrestricted parking on road near property, or during school holidays you can park free of charge at the school. Can sometimes park outside property but didn't do so in case we got blocked in.

Super family cottage in an excellent location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kettle Cottage, the location on the high street was superb; everything on the doorstep including lovely walks in the country. The cottage was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The owners, who lived in the adjoining property, were friendly and helpful.

Never wanted to leave
Perfect location and the cottage was wonderful. The owners even helped us out by printing a train ticket for us. The three of us had plenty of room and the beds were comfy. Chipping Campden was the perfect location to enjoy the Cotswolds.

We loved it and will come again
Every thing was like promissed, we just loved it and enjoyed every moment in the cottage, in Chippig Campden and in the region. The view from the bed rooms is extremely wounderful. We had great tips from the owner where to eat and what to see. Thank you for a lovely home during our holidays.

Great place to stay in the Cotswolds
The friendly owner greeted us with her lovely daughter, and tea and a wonderful cake. the cottage was old and charming. at night is was absolutely peaceful and quiet. it was spotless, we had huge, comfortable beds and a wonderfully huge bathtub, each. the location is perfect, a few steps from the local (eight bells) and minutes from everything in town. a perfect place for two couples.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kettle Cottage. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent. It was free and easy to park in the neighborhood, and it is a perfect base for hiking and day trips. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and have great natural light. The kitchen is small, but since the town has good restaurants and pubs, we mainly used it for breakfast.

We loved our stay at Kettle Cottage
Booking was easy. Access to The Cottage was as described, easy to find the key. The Welcoming tray with tea, coffee and cakes waiting for us was lovely. Everything needed for the stay was provided. The house was as we could wish for. A small patio i the garden with chairs to enjoy the sun. Only thing we missed was at small table at our portio to make it possible to eat out. In all we would like to come back. The owner of the house gave us good advise about route and time to airport, which was perfect timed.
