Situated in the picturesque and peaceful village of Bretforton within easy walking distance of the village shop and the Fleece Inn (the only pub owned by the National Trust) which serves excellent food. The Fleece is renowned for its Asparagus auction and featured on BBC Countryfile with Adam Henson. Alternatively, join in with their folk music nights on Thursday evenings.
Wisteria Cottage is within easy distance of the renowned towns of Broadway and Chipping Campden. Also, only a short drive away are Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon, Warwick Castle and Blenheim Palace. There are many gardens to visit it the area including Hidcote Gardens, also owned by the National Trust.
PROPERTY DETAILS
Wisteria Cottage is built of Cotswold stone and dates back to the 1600s with later extensions (approximately 200 years ago) in brick. (In the photo it is the half of the cottage to the right of the drainpipe) Maintaining many character features, the owners, who live in the other half of the house, have taken time and care in renovating this cottage. Much thought has been given to the layout and furnishings with delightful results. There is full gas central heating with combi boiler.

SITTING ROOM
This is in the oldest part of the house and has an old brick fireplace with wood burning stove. Two very comfortable two seater sofas. Flagstone floor with unusual pattern, covered in part with a coir rug. Exposed beams, Cotswold stone mullions and windows with old “boat hook” latches. Flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD. Understairs cupboard for hanging coats and storage. Ironing board, iron and vacuum cleaner. A door leads through to the Kitchen
KITCHEN
This is a wonderful, bright and sunny room. A lovely peaceful outlook, with French windows facing south onto the garden. Sit around the “farmhouse” style table or in the comfortable chair. Very well equipped with stylish fitted cupboards, granite work tops and terracotta tiles on the floor. Stoves gas hob and double oven with extractor fan. Double butlers sink. Fitted fridge and dishwasher. Toaster. Cafetiere. Walk in cupboard housing the washer/dryer, freezer and microwave.
Stairs (with hand rail) lead from the hall upstairs to the landing. The stairs, landing and bedrooms are fully carpeted. All duvets and pillows are made of hypoallergenic fibre. Duvets are “Four Seasons” with suitable warmth for summer and winter.
BEDROOM ONE
With windows to two sides, one of which has a window seat. 4’6” double bed with king size duvet. Attractively furnished with old pine wardrobe with drawer, dressing table and bedside tables. Large walk in shower, basin and wc. Heated towel rail. Wood effect flooring.
GARDEN
Surround by a paddock fence (a hedge has been planted but will take time to grow!), this sunny garden is laid to grass and herbaceous borders. Just step out through the French doors from the kitchen to this haven of peace and quiet. There is a wooden table and chairs with parasol for your use.

Private parking for up to two cars at the side of the house.
