PROPERTY DETAILS:

Broad Campden is an extremely picturesque, small village, just on the South side of Chipping Campden. The village has some lovely thatched cottages and many historic buildings. The Bakers Arms pub in the centre of Broad Campden has recently won “Best Gloucestershire pub” for its “real ale”. Meals are served both in the bar and in the dining room. Broad Campden is ideally situated for touring around the glorious Cotswold countryside which has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Cheltenham, Blenheim Palace and Oxford are all within easy driving distance. London can be reached in approx 1¾ hours by train from Moreton in Marsh and is on the main line to Paddington.

Ingleside Cottage is situated on the lane through Broad Campden, in a quiet and peaceful setting. Built approximately 300 years ago it still retains many of the original features. Ingleside Cottage has been beautifully furnished with great care and thought for the owners’ own use and we are lucky to have the use of it as a holiday cottage. There is full gas central heating. Telephone with “honesty box”.

SITTING ROOM
This room is dominated by the large inglenook fireplace and the many old beams. A very realistic large, open, log effect gas fire warms the room very quickly. The floor is laid with the original flagstones which are covered in part by an attractive rug. The old, leaded glass window is surrounded by stone mullions and the wall is of exposed Cotswold stone wall.

A three seater sofa, arm chair and ladies chair, as well as a large pouffe, all add to your comfort. A colour TV, VCR and DVD together with a CD player/radio all combine to make Ingleside a relaxing ‘home from home’.

Leaded glass French doors lead into the

KITCHEN WITH DINING AREA
The kitchen has been decorated in a “farmhouse style”, very welcoming and an ideal area to sit and chat. When entering into the kitchen, to the right there is a small circular table with easy chair. On the walls above are an attractive collection of old plates.

The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with De Dietrich electric built-in oven, hotplate, extractor fan and light. Fridge, dishwasher and cafetiere. A Belfast sink is in front of the window which looks onto the well established garden.

There is an old farmhouse table and 4 chairs with matching antique pine cupboard, illuminated by a ships light overhead. A portable TV is also in the dining area. The walls are decorated with a variety of prints which add to the character of the kitchen.

UTILITY AREA
There is a door from the kitchen into an oak framed conservatory, which has been converted into a utility room consisting of Zanussi washer/dryer, microwave and American style fridge/freezer.

An oak stable door leads onto the garden.

Stairs lead upstairs from the sitting room. The stairs then divide. To the left five steps lead up to Bedroom One and the Bathroom. Six steps lead to the right and Bedroom Two. Fitted carpets are throughout the first floor and stairs with the exception of the bathroom.
