PROPERTY DETAILS:
Situated
on a non-working farm on the outskirts of the village of Paxford
in the lovely Cotswold countryside. A long driveway, bordered
by open fields and paddocks leads to the cottage. Fox Cottage
is a beautifully renovated single storey barn conversion,
forming one side of a courtyard. Opposite, across the old
brick courtyard is stabling for the owner’s horses.
The stables and the cottage are separated on one side by a
covered gated archway. The open side of the courtyard faces
the owner’s walled garden. During the summer months,
as the cottage faces south, the courtyard forms a sheltered
spot for relaxation. There are garden chairs and table available.
The cottage is warm and cosy with full oil
fired central heating and with the windows double glazed.
Enter into a large lobby area with plenty of space to leave
coats, walking shoes etc.
This leads through to a large open plan sitting
room and kitchen. The room has pale, laminated wood flooring
and is full height with exposed beams and rafters forming
a very light, sunny and spacious area, 34 feet long by 12
feet wide.
KITCHEN
The kitchen area is well equipped with a range of painted
"shaker style" cupboards housing a stainless steel
Baumatic gas hob and electric fan oven, with extractor hood
above, stainless steel sink and a half, dishwasher, microwave
and larder fridge. There is good and unusual overhead lighting
in this area. To the left of the door is a large larder cupboard
and antique wooden plate rack. In a store room adjacent to
the cottage is a freezer. Iron and ironing board.
DINING AREA
Adjacent to the kitchen area is a rectangular old pine wooden
table and chairs. Double half glazed doors open onto the courtyard.
On the outside of this door is an old wooden stable door which
gives you the choice of having it fully or half open.
SITTING AREA
Two large comfortable sofas (one is a double sofa bed) and
32" Flat screen TV (not shown in photo) and DVD player form a cosy area around the woodburning stove (not shown in photo) which
is laid ready for your use with a plentiful supply of logs
and kindling in the trunks situated on either side.
BEDROOM
Adjoining the sitting room is a large, newly carpeted double
bedroom 15 feet by 12 feet with a 5' wide bed. A large fitted
cupboard with hanging space and shelf over, pine chest of
drawers. Hairdryer.
There is one 10cm step down into the bathroom
EN-SUITE BATHROOM
This is reached through the bedroom and is a fully
carpeted room that is spacious and light with a white bathroom
suite and attractive Victorian wall tiles. Over the bath is
a thermostatic electric shower with a folding shower door.
There is a large airing cupboard with hot water cylinder.
Another cupboard houses the washer / dryer.
