Blockley is a delightful village situated amongst the rolling hills of the North Cotswolds, between Chipping Campden and Moreton in Marsh in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The new Blockley Shop and Cafe is now open,
where hot food is also served, home-made cakes, croisants for an early breakfast and a shop which stocks just about everything including newspapers and magazines. The shop and cafe opens

Sat: 8.30am – 6pm
Sun: 8.30am – 1pm
The Great Western Arms pub in the village serves meals or food can be purchased to take away.
The Crown Hotel serves food in the bar and restaurant.
During the summer months these are open all day.
PROPERTY DETAILS:
Briar
Cottage was built in 1860 as a home for workers from the local
silk mills. It is situated in the middle of a row of lovely,
Cotswold stone cottages. An alleyway at the side gives direct
access to the rear entrance of the cottage and garden.
Briar Cottage has been furnished as a home
rather than a holiday cottage, providing you with all those
little “extra touches”. There is gas central heating
and a log burning stove in the sitting room.
The accommodation sleeps up to four people
and comprises:
SITTING ROOM
Enter through the front door into the sitting room. Very attractively
furnished and decorated. Reclaimed oak wood floor with large rug. Enjoy watching the flames of the
log burning stove while relaxing in the comfortable two-seater
leather sofa and two armchairs. Browse through the wide selection
of books, both fictional and of local interest There is a
television, DVD player and radio/ cassette / CD player and ipod dock.
At one end of the sitting room is the
DINING AREA
with an antique pine dining table with extending
flaps to seat four with ease.
4 steps lead down from the sitting room to
the
KITCHEN
Very well equipped with shaker style fitted cupboards and
a lovely antique pine dresser. Central table and chairs. Enjoy
cooking on the ever ready gas Rayburn or on the electric cooker.
Wooden work surfaces, butlers sink. Large fridge freezer,
Bosch dishwasher, microwave.

Bosch Washing Machine. Tumble dryer. Door to garden.
Stairs from the sitting room lead to the
first floor landing.

Pine Double (4’ 6”) bed. Fitted cupboards. Old Pine dressing table. This room has the most wonderful views over the rolling Cotswold countryside.
BATHROOM
With Victorian style roll top bath and walk in shower, wc, heated towel rail.
BEDROOM TWO with
en-suite walk in shower and WC.
Twin single (3’) beds. Chest of drawers. Wardrobe.
GARDEN
Sit, relax and enjoy a meal in the delightful patio garden.
CAR PARKING
Parking is in the street at the front of the cottage. This is a residential road and we have never had any problem parking
Strictly no smoking. No pets.
A cot and/or high chair available on request.

Lovely cottage warm, cosy and comfortable and pretty courtyard garden, where we enjoyed the warm Spring sunshine. Thank you for flowers etc. Village is also delightful with a very good shop. OS msp and walk descriptions much appreciated.
