On the B4479 which is off the A44 between Moreton in Marsh and Broadway. Blockley is a delightful village situated in the rolling hills of the North Cotswolds between Moreton in Marsh and Chipping Campden.

Blockley is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. It has also been listed as a conservation area. To read interesting details regarding this and the history of the village click HERE

In its heyday Blockley boasted 12 water mills along the Blockley Brook and Cole Brook, which were converted into a thriving silk industry in the 18th and 19th centuries. They then went back to flour, flax, woodcutting, threshing and cider. Two became piano factories. The mills are no longer active and have been converted into homes. The church of St Peter and St Paul, situated off The Square, dates from 1180 onwards.

Paxton House, adjoining the old Post Office was the HQ of the American Super Six division in 1942, commanded by General George S Patton. He and Eisenhower met here to plan the Normandy landings.

Blockley is a thriving village community. The attractive village green overlooks the bowling green and children's recreation area.
