ACCESS STATEMENT

 

Carol’s Flat, Flat 2, Manchester Court, Moreton in Marsh, GL56 0BY

 

Introduction

 

Carol's Flat is situated overlooking the bustling High Street, on a slip road running parallel with the High Street, above a small Tesco supermarket. This one bedroom first floor flat has a lovely view of the skyline of Moreton-in-Marsh. Pedestrian access is via Corders Lane and vehicular access via Hospital Road and Corders Close. There is one, off-street, allocated car parking space.

Carol's flat is reached by a private entrance at the rear, shared with the flat above via one flight of stairs.  On the ground floor is a "mini" Tesco supermarket, the entrance to which is from the High Street.

Pre-Arrival


All enquiries / bookings are handled by Campden Cottages.  They have an extensive web site which includes much useful local information as well as a page for Carol’s Flat showing photos and a full description.

  • Bookings / enquiries can be made via email, fax or phone
  • Once the final payment is made, directions are sent to you which include the postcode
  • There are several buses which stop in Moreton in Marsh
  • The nearest railway station is approx 5 – 7 minutes walk away.    It is on the main line from London Paddington to Worcester.  There is a bridge ramp for wheelchair access. 
  • There are several small shops in Moreton in Marsh  including a butcher,  small Tesco and Co-op, Warner Budgens supermarket, deli, butchers, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs and a petrol station
  • We can provide information in large print on request
  • Sheila Rolland is the director of Campden Cottages and lives locally.  She is on hand should you have any queries or need help and can be contacted on the Campden Cottages telephone number.
  • Arrival time: 4.00 p.m. onwards
  • Departure time: by 10.00 a.m.
  • The flat is suitable for babies in arms but not for children under 3 years
  • No dogs or pets
  • Moreton in Marsh has a good selection of shops, pubs, bistros and restaurants

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

  • Directions and instructions for the keys are sent to you as soon as the final payment has been made.
  • Private parking is at the rear of the building.  It is the space to the right of the signposted parking for Flat 3
  • The entrance is in front of you (cream door).  The door is for access to Flats 2 and 3 only.  Flat 2 is on the first floor.
  • The parking area is brick paviours.  The walkway to the front door is approx 20ft long and is of old brick paving which can be uneven in places.

 

Entrance

  • The key safe is to the left of the front door at a height of 107cm.  There is an intercom is the flat at 143cm high.
  • The door handle and lock is 115cm height.
  • There is a flat area immediately inside the front door 85cm wide x 162cm
  • Stairs face you as you enter.  There are 11 steps 12cm high and 12cm deep.  Then the stairs turn 90 degrees and there are a further two steps
  • There is a hardwearing carpet on the stairs with a rubber and metal edge to the stairs.
  • There is a banister on your left as you go up the stairs
  • The passageway is 84cm wide and approx 17ft long.  It then turns right.  There is one step 23cm high then 72cm to doormat
  • There is a coir doormat in front of the door.
  • There are two locks on the door, one at 97cm height and the other at 136cm height.  The door handle is at 104cm height.
  • There is a smoke alarm at the bottom of the stairs and in the passageway

There are fitted carpets throughout the flat with rugs over.  The bathroom has lino on the floor.  The kitchen has Karndean wood effect vinyl flooring.

 

Hall

  • Room size: 1.87m x 2.67m wide
  • There is a door to the boiler cupboard and a door to the sitting room off the hall.
  • Timer for boiler on back wall of boiler cupboard
  • There is a passageway from the hall 3.68m long a 2.88m wide. 
  • There is a door to the dining room, sitting room and bathroom off the passageway.
  • There is a smoke alarm in the passageway
  • Thermostat control for gas central heating on wall in passageway at 146cm high
  • The intercom phone is to the left of the front door
  • There is a table and upright chair in the hall
