Access Statement for Rosary Cottage, Chipping Campden
Introduction
Rosary Cottage is 600 years old and situated in the heart of the High Street in Chipping Campden. It is rented out as a holiday home through Campden Cottages. The accommodation provides kitchen/dining room, 2 sitting rooms and 3 bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. The cottage is fully carpeted except in the kitchen which is lino covered and the en suite shower rooms which have sealed vinyl flooring. Car parking is in the High Street. There are currently no parking restrictions or payments except in the Market Square.

Pre-Arrival
All enquiries / bookings are handled by Campden Cottages. They have an extensive web site which includes much useful local information as well as a page for Rosary Cottage showing photos and a full description.
- Bookings / enquiries can be made via email, fax or phone
- Once the final payment is made, directions are sent to you which include the postcode
- There are several buses which stop in Chipping Campden
- The nearest railway station is Moreton in Marsh which is approximately 8 miles away. It is on the main line from London Paddington to Worcester. There is a bridge ramp for wheelchair access. Taxis are not always waiting at the station and you are advised to book a taxi in advance.
- Tesco and Ocado can deliver your shopping by advance arrangement if required. There are a wide range of small shops in Chipping Campden including a greengrocer, French bakery, small co-op, newsagents, deli, butchers

- Arrival time: 4.00 p.m. onwards
- Departure time: by 10.00 a.m.
- The cottage is suitable for babies in arms but not for children under 3 years
- No dogs
- Chipping Campden has a good selection of shops, pubs, bistros and restaurants
Arrival and Car Parking Facilities
- Directions and instructions for the keys are sent to you as soon as the final payment has been made.
- Parking is on the road near the cottage.
- The gate into the front patio garden is over 1metre wide.
- There is an 8cm step up to the gate.
- There are 3 stone steps up from the gate with a height of 22cm, 24cm and 28cm and tread depth of between 26 and 28 cm.
- There is a metal hand rail to the right of the steps.
- There is a 78cm coir mat in front of the door.
- The key safe is on the wall to the right of the door at a height of 148cm.
Side entrance
The key is for the side door which is accessed going back through the gate and turning right on to the narrow road parallel to the High Street.
- A 92cm wide stable door hinged to the right leads directly from the pavement into the second sitting room.
- The keyhole is at a height of 134cm from the pavement and 148cm from indoors. The stable door knob is 87cm above pavement level and 101cm above the indoor step.
- Three stone slabs outside the door are 5cm above pavement level.
- There are two wooden steps down into the sitting room 14cm and 12cm high.
- The double light switch is to the left of the door on entry at a height of 142cm
Second sitting room
- Room size: 4.47m x 3.33m max
- Slightly uneven and sloping floor
- Fitted carpet throughout the second sitting room with coir mat (72cm wide) at base of second step from entrance door and two rugs
- Seating area contains:
- 2-seater sofa 41cm height to top of seat

- Spiral staircase with open wooden stairs and metal banister rail leads to first floor. This is blocked off at ceiling level and is not in use. Steps 21cm high.

Stairs and landing
- The main staircase faces the side entrance
- Stairs 80cm wide with fitted carpet
- Nine stairs of which six are straight with tread depth of between 23 and 25cm and heights between 18 and 21cm. On the bend to the right tread depth varies from 5 to 47cm
- Wooden banister rail faces the top of these stairs at 128cm above ninth step and 88cm above top step
- From ninth step go left for landing for Bedroom 1 up two further steps 23 and 11cm high respectively and with tread depth of 19cm
- Landing size: 1.43m x 1.55m with fitted carpet
- On the left there are no banister spindles and there is a gap of 47 cm making this area unsuitable for small children
