Access Statement For Rockbank Cottage, Blockley
Introduction
Rockbank Cottage is an early 19TH century cottage in the village of Blockley. It is rented out as a holiday home through Campden Cottages.
The accommodation provides kitchen/dining room, sitting room, three bedrooms, en suite shower room, bathroom, utility room with downstairs WC, garden to the front and gravel terrace to the rear. The bedrooms are fully carpeted, bathrooms and utility are tiled and reception rooms have
wooden floors.

Pre-Arrival
All enquiries / bookings are handled by Campden Cottages. They have an extensive web site which includes much useful local information as well as a page for Briar Cottage showing photos and a full description.
- Bookings / enquiries can be made via email, fax or phone
- Once the final payment is made, directions are sent to you which include the postcode
- The no 21/22 bus runs from Moreton in Marsh to Stratford on Avon via Blockley, Chipping Campden, Broadway and the bus stop is at the end of the road, approximately 1000 yards away. There is a link to the timetable under Local Information / Transport on the Campden Cottages web page. There are no buses on Sundays or Bank Holidays
- The nearest railway station is Moreton in Marsh which is approximately 4 miles away. It is on the main line from London Paddington to Worcester. There is a bridge ramp for wheelchair access.
- Taxis are not always waiting at the station and you are advised to book a taxi in advance.

- In the village of Blockley there is a small shop combining cafe and post office, one hotel and one public house all within walking distance of Rockbank Cottage
- Approximate distances from Blockley: Moreton in Marsh 4 miles, Chipping Campden 3 miles, Stratford upon Avon 12 miles, Cheltenham 20 miles
Arrival and car Parking Facilities
Directions and instructions for the keys are sent to you as soon as the final payment has been made.
Parking is on the road outside the cottage. There is no time limit and no charge but can be busy at times and you may have to park further down the road.
From the roadway three steps to raised pavement, rises of 12cm, 23cm & 23cm. There is a handrail on the far right hand side
Four further steps to 3, Rockbank, rises of 14cm, 25cm, 23cm & 23cm. There is no handrail by these steps - just a low cotswold stone wall.
Metal gate, hinged to the right, 110cm wide with latch at 95cm, leads to path of scored concrete.
Path slopes upwards past front of 1 Rockbank, 20 metres approximately, a wooden gate, hinged to the left, 123cm wide, latch at 100cm, leads to 3 Rockbank.
Main Entrance
The main entrance is at the far end of the cottage. Two PIR lights on wall.
Key safe is on wall to right of door, 135cm height.
Door hinged to left, 82cm wide, 182cm high, latch at 140cm, threshold bar 2cm high.
Secondary door immediately to right. Hinged to the left, 93cm wide, 169cm height, threshold bar 2cm height lock 82cm from ground.
Fire extinguisher on left wall, 150cm from floor.
